Q.  I received an error while trying to download the output files.  The error states, "AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED IN YOUR APPLICATION  Error in Download Output - 1B file not found."  What do I do to correct this?

A.  Occasionally a site will not process correctly and certain files are missing from the output.  This situation produces the error message stated in the question.  Follow the steps below to requeue the site for processing which should correct the problem.

1. Under the "Run Sites" option from the main menu, enter the Area Code and Exchange in the fields on the right.  Select "Delete Completed Site Output" and click on the Submit button.
2. You will receive a message box that states, "You are about to delete output file; are you sure?"  Click "OK".
3. The next screen informs you that the site output files have been successfully deleted. Click on the Submit button.
4. Now select the "Add to Queue" option and click on the submit button.
5. You will receive a message that states the site is marked for deletion.  Click on the empty box next to "Site exists in queue. Do you wish to requeue this site?" This will requeue the site for processing again.  Click on the Submit button.
6. The site is now back in the queue for processing.  Follow the regular procedure to check the processing status, and download the completed output files when finished.

If you receive the same error message after following the above procedure, please contact Customer Service.  A Customer Service Representative will check the error log to determine the source of the error, resolve the problem, and assist you to requeue the site.

Q. How can I select a carrier and/or service other than those you have listed?

A.  Tele-Tech provides the popular and most common carriers and services for AT&T, Worldcom, Sprint, and the Regional Bell Operating Companies (Verizon, BellSouth, Qwest, etc.).  A few other independent companies are also provided.  If you have a special request to add a particular service or carrier, please contact our Sales Dept .

Q.  I received a message that no local calling area is available for my NPA/NXX. What should I do?

A.  Tele-Tech maintains local calling areas for the majority of North America, but there are a few regions with missing coverage.  If you receive this message, we will be happy to create a new local calling area for the NPA/NXX so that you can complete the site.  Please send your request through our Customer Service
dept.

Unfortunately due to the unavailability of accurate tariff information in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, we cannot create new local calling areas in these regions.

Q.  How do I create a new set of files? (or How do I key a new site?)

A.  Click on the link to view a detailed set of instructions to create and process a site from start to finish.   If you would like a Customer Service Representative to walk you through the process, please contact
Customer Service to schedule an appointment.

Q. Can I create sites originating in Puerto Rico or Caribbean locations?

A.  Multi-Pacs only provides the ability to create new sites in certain Puerto Rico regions.  Sites cannot be created for any Caribbean locations.  In order to create any new site with the Multi-Pacs application, Tele-Tech must have a local calling area file for the originating NPA/NXX.  We have created a number of local calling areas for Puerto Rico that will allow you to create sites originating in certain regions of Puerto Rico.  However if you receive a message that states that no local calling area is available for the Puerto Rico NPA/NXX you selected, we are unable to create a new local calling area for this site.

Q. What do "default on one-ratestep" and "abbreviate highest ratestep" mean?

A.  Default on One Rate Step – without this option selected the destination file contains an NPA Summary record that lists the default rate step, which is the highest rate step for that NPA.  If you select this option, the program will compare all NXXs in each NPA against the NPA's default rate step.  If all NXX rate steps in the NPA match that NPA's default rate step, only one summary record will output in the destination file with the single default rate step for that NPA.  If all NXX rate steps in the NPA do not match that NPA's default rate step, all NXXs will be detailed with their respective rate steps in the destination file.

Abbreviate Highest Rate Step – this option is similar to the Default on One Rate Step option.  The logic works in the same manner by comparing each NXX rate step against the default rate step for that NPA.  As with the Default on One Rate Step option, if all NXX rate steps in the NPA match that NPA's default rate step, only one summary record will output in the destination file with the single default rate step for that NPA.  The difference occurs where NXX rate steps in the NPA do not match that NPA's default rate step.  Instead of detailing all NXXs (as with Default on One Rate Step), the Abbreviate Highest Rate Step option only details those NXXs with rate steps that do not match the default (highest) rate step.
